We collect information you provide (profile details, posts, comments, likes, messages, and feedback) plus usage/diagnostic data (app version, device info, and error logs) to keep the app reliable. If you use Run tracking, we collect precise location (GPS) to map your route and calculate distance, pace, and splits. With your permission, this can continue in the background if you lock your phone or switch apps mid-run, so your run keeps tracking accurately; you can limit this to "while using the app" instead in your device settings. If you log bodyweight, calorie intake, injuries/limitations, or a race/event date in Training Info, we store that to personalize your AI coaching.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, CompeteFit reads your resting heart rate and sleep data so your AI coach can adjust training intensity around how recovered you are, instead of following a fixed schedule. This connection is entirely optional, requires your explicit permission through iOS, and you can disconnect it at any time from Settings > Training Info. We never use Health data for advertising and do not sell it. It is only used to personalize your coaching and, like other training data, may be sent to our AI processor (see section 4) as part of generating your plan. Health data is deleted along with the rest of your account data if you delete your account.
We use information to operate the app (accounts, workouts, feed, messaging), personalize your experience, and improve safety and performance. We do not sell your personal information.
Social content you post (posts, captions, and comments) may be visible to other users in the app, including guest browsing where enabled. Direct messages are intended to be private between participants. For AI coaching features, we send AI prompts plus workout/profile/health context to our AI processor through our secure backend only after you explicitly allow AI data sharing in-app. We may also share data with service providers for hosting, storage, and analytics only to operate the service.
You can edit your profile, delete your account from Settings, and use in-app tools to report or block users/content. You can connect or disconnect Apple Health at any time from Training Info in Settings. Deleting your account triggers deletion of your profile and associated content, including health, bodyweight, and nutrition data; some data may persist briefly in backups.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and may be communicated in-app.
